Meet Erin Wanat

Education:
Erin earned her undergraduate degree in special education from Illinois State University. She specialized in learning about children with Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavior Disorders and Developmental Cognitive Delays. She earned a minor in Spanish from ISU as well. After her undergraduate degree, Erin pursued certification in ELL and Bilingual Studies from Northern Illinois University. Upon completion of this endeavor, Erin earned her master's degree in Educational Administration from Lewis University, IL. It was at Lewis University that Erin earned her Director of Special Education license.  Erin is currently enrolled at Bethel University's program for her Ed.D in Educational Administration.

Experience:
Erin has been a director of special education for three years at ISES. Prior the the start of her career as a Director of Special Education, Erin worked as an independent consultant for schools in Minnesota. She assisted school with special education due process as well as grant implementation (RTI). Prior to consulting with schools, Erin was a special education teacher, both in MN and IL.


More:
Erin has lived in MN for about 5 years. She is happily married and has two young daughters. During her free time, Erin likes to read, dance with her children and visit her family in Illinois.
